9:20–9:50 am Keynote 1: Mega Projects in India: Smart, Green Growth in India: Implications for CEM Education Keynote on: current challenges in delivering major infrastructure (rail, metro, airports) and what competencies are missing or needed from graduates
9:50–10:20 am Keynote 2: AI and New Ways of Teaching Construction Management Keynote on: AI and digital tools are changing how we teach, not just what we teach (e.g. simulation, data-rich case studies, generative tools).

10:40 am–12:10 pm Discussion – What Should Change in Our CEM Curricula? Round-table discussions in 3 Tracks.
  • What is non-negotiable core? (planning, control, contracts, etc.)
  • What new content is essential? (AI, data, sustainability, systems thinking)
  • How to structure two career paths: a basic technical path and a leadership/“administrator” path
Each track reports two key insights into the plenary.

2:00–3:30 pm Panel 1: Balancing Innovation and Industry Needs: Voices from Industry, Students and Women in CEM Short student video inputs (2-min clips gathered globally) summarising “What we expect from a CEM degree”. Industry representative, 1–2 women academic leaders, and a Future Leader discuss: How do we hear and respond to student and industry expectations? What AI-related capabilities are realistic to deliver at UG vs PG level? Moderator: Maggie Tang (Future Leaders)

3:45–4:30 pm Panel 2: Keynote on sustainability? Circular construction? Talk highlighting how sustainability and circular construction principles can transform the built environment by reducing waste, extending asset life, and optimising resource use. Talk will also cover practical strategies, policy levers, and real-world examples that enable the transition from linear construction practices to circular, regenerative systems.
